Characters are one of the most important part of your book, without them no story can go on. Characters are not only defined into humans, but also fantasy hybrids, cats, dogs, reptiles, animals, inanimate objects, etc. Everything mentioned in the story can be a major key to influence the story right then or later in future.
A common mistake a lot of young or beginner writers do is make unrealistic Characters, yes, if the genre is fantasy then it is bound to have unrealistic parts in it, but what I'm focusing on right now is their psychology.
We may want our Mcs (main characters) to be perfect, but that is impossible, if you are writing about a human being, they are bound to make mistakes be it be small or big. Therefore, just because you want to write a positive character doesn't mean that you have to make them perfect. Just like how heros can make mistakes and wrong decision, villains can too make good choices. No person is filled with full evilness or full pureness.
What we have to do is play with the emotions of the readers mind, if you can manipulate their minds into getting the character's personality the way you want, it gets easier for you to create a great and engaging story.
But, how will you learn about making characters you may ask, don't worry cause I've the perfect solution for you. I'll be doing character personality analysis of my books for you guys, so that you can take it as an example and use the tips in your way into writing.
I hope you all have been benefiting from the posts on this. Please share it with your fellow writer friends to help them. Keep going, keep learning, keep staying curious, happy writing!!!♡♡♡
